What is Positive Behavior Support?
· A program to support and reinforce positive behaviors in all school settings. · A tool for teachers and school personnel to support expectations in classes, halls and other common areas. · A way to help students take responsibility for their actions and develop a sense of ownership in our school. · A POSITIVE way to help each student be successful.
How are students reinforced for following the PBS expectations? Students will earn green tickets this year for following our PBS expectations. Tickets can be entered into weekly ticket drawings. Winners are able to choose their prize from our PBS "Store". Prizes include front of the lunch line passes, teacher for a day, pizza lunch with friends, ITunes gift cards just to name a few! Students can also save tickets for our big ticket events that will occur in October, December, March and June. All of our big ticket events will cost 50 tickets. Check out the Big Ticket Event page for more information!
How and When Are Tickets Given? Tickets can be given out at any time….in the classroom, hallway, cafeteria, etc. by any staff member in the school including our cafeteria staff and bus drivers!
