Parent/Business Advisory Council (PBAC)

 

PBAC is a group of parents, business partners and school administrators who meet to exchange ideas, knowledge and concerns on a broad range of topics affecting students and their families.

 

Purpose: To provide a forum that will promote an exchange of ideas, knowledge, and concerns among parents, business partners and the Appoquinimink School District.

 

Forum:

 

• Improve the awareness of parents and business partners in regards to District and school initiatives

• Exchange information

• Receive feedback from parents and business partners on initiatives, programs, and documents

• Opportunity for parents and business partners to share District-wide concerns

• The District Advisory Council will take the place of other committees such as School Climate Advisory Committee, Title I Parent Advisory Committee, ATOD Committee, etc.

 

Structure:

 

• Each school in our district has a parent and a student representative on the committee.

• Parents and students are encouraged to share concerns with their school representative(s).
